Adopted Child

To see an adopted child in a dream is an indication that, if the person who sees the dream is a man, his wife will fall ill.

If a woman who has no child of her own sees in a dream that she has adopted a baby, it means that in waking life she will intend to do so. The adoption of a child who has neither mother nor father may be a most excellent means of saving a child’s life.

If you see in a dream that you have been given up for adoption, and you are not of an age to be given up for adoption, it means that you will witness the mothering or fathering of a person older than yourself, and you will feel a very great gratitude toward that person.

To see in a dream that a child who has been given up for adoption is unhappy is an indication that you are not content with your work and feel there as though you were entrusted there. Perhaps the time has come for you to seek another occupation, in order to change your work and labor in one in which you feel more belonging and which you love.
