In a dream, seeing wine and such intoxicating drinks without drinking them signifies a noble woman.

Seeing non-alcoholic drinks such as sherbet and syrup in a dream is generally interpreted as goodness. However, alcoholic drinks are not interpreted favorably. If the non-alcoholic drinks are clear and pure, they always signify cheerfulness, joy, happiness, and peace.

To see oneself drinking liquor in a tavern in a dream signifies that one will succeed in one’s new endeavors; to see oneself intoxicated signifies that one must not be overly openhanded and fall into extravagance.

According to another narration: Seeing liquor in a dream is unlawful property acquired without toil. Whoever sees that he drinks liquor commits a major sin and attains abundant sustenance.

Whoever sees himself drinking liquor from a liquor cup in a dream will come into possession of unlawful property. Some have said that he will come into possession of lawful property. If he sees a river flowing with liquor, a tribulation will befall him in this world. If he sees himself entering a river of liquor, he will fall into a tribulation in proportion to the amount he attained from that river. For one who desires marriage or partnership, seeing liquor in a dream signifies an agreement concerning harmonious relations. For an official, drinking liquor in a dream signifies being dismissed from his office.

Drinking liquor mixed with water in a dream signifies property, part of which is lawful and part of which is unlawful. Some interpreters have said that this is partnership property, while others have said that he will receive property from a woman and fall into tribulation through this property.

Whoever sees in a dream that he is pressing grapes in order to make liquor will occupy an important position in the service of the state. Whoever sees that he has been invited to a gathering where liquor and appetizers are present is invited to attain the rank of martyrdom. Liquor seen in a dream signifies tribulation, evil, enmity, and anger; at times, it signifies recovery from distress and illness. At times, it signifies the loss of reason through madness and through a sorrow and grief that prevents a person from being aware of himself and thinking.

Whoever sees that he drinks liquor in a dream, if he is unemployed, will be employed in a service. Or, if he is poor, he will become wealthy. If he is single, he will marry. If he is ill, he will be delivered from his illness. Liquor signifies lying, delirium, unacceptable speech, the divulging of secrets, and adultery. At times, liquor signifies an adulterous woman.

The interpretation of seeing liquor in a dream signifies rebelling against one’s parents, selling something from one’s property, incurring debt, or the loss of one’s wealth and possessions. Drinking liquor in a dream signifies the drinker’s stupidity and ignorance. If one sees a deceased righteous person drinking liquor in a dream, that deceased person is in blessings in the Hereafter. However, it is not auspicious to see in a dream a deceased person who drank liquor while alive drinking liquor. It signifies that the deceased is sinful and undergoing punishment. Seeing liquor is a favorable sign for one who wishes to marry.

Seeing non-alcoholic drinks such as sherbet and syrup in a dream is always considered auspicious. They are good provided that they are clear and of a beautiful color. In contrast, those containing alcohol are not interpreted favorably.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.
