The Throne Verse (Ayat al-Kursi)

Whoever recites the Throne Verse in his dream shall be delivered from fears and calamities. If he has an illness, he shall soon find healing. A person who recites the Throne Verse in his dream shall be remembered by those around him with goodness and loyalty.

To recite the Throne Verse in a dream means that if the person is poor, he shall become wealthy; if he is ill, he shall find healing; and if he is sorrowful, he shall rejoice. To see oneself reciting this verse, or to see it being recited by another, denotes that the person’s esteem shall increase and that he shall attain greater success in his education and work.

To recite the Throne Verse continually and repeatedly in a dream denotes being secure and protected from the calamities of this world, the attainment of one’s wish, and longevity. If he is ill, or has an ill person under his care, that person shall recover.

Kirmani, however, said that it denotes that his rank and worth in the eyes of the people shall increase and that he shall be held in respect among them.

Ja‘far al-Sadiq, for his part, says: It denotes that he shall be sound in religion and endowed with intelligence.
