Being Forgiven

If a sinful person deserving punishment sees in a dream that the Almighty Lord has forgiven his offenses and faults: in accordance with the verse whose meaning is, “(My Beloved), tell those who disbelieve that if they desist from hostility toward you, their past sins shall be forgiven,” and the verse whose meaning is, “(My Beloved), tell the believers: Let those who do not hope for the coming of the days of Allah (the Exalted) not concern themselves. For Allah (the Exalted) requites every people only according to what they earn,” it signifies that this person is righteous or that he will offer expiation.

To see in your dream that you have been forgiven before a judge in a courtroom for a crime signifies that your sins have been pardoned by Allah; to see that you have forgiven another signifies that good will come to you from the person whom you forgave; and to see that your mother and father have forgiven you for one of your mistakes signifies that there has been some relaxation in your respect toward them.

To see in a dream that you have committed a crime and been forgiven signifies that your guilty state will continue for some time, that you will remain under suspicion on account of this crime for a long period, and that you will suffer betrayal at the hands of the person you love.

To see in a dream that a person has forgiven his own fault signifies high rank and a long life; and both being forgiven and forgiving signify pardon, finding guidance, and performing righteous deeds.

According to another interpretation: To see that you have been forgiven in a dream on account of a crime you committed also signifies that you must certainly correct a mistake you have made.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.
