Being Forgiven / Forgiving

For a sinful person to see in a dream that he has been forgiven by Allah indicates that, by repenting, his sins will be forgiven or that he will offer expiation.

To see oneself forgiving one’s own fault indicates a high rank and a long life; whether being forgiven or forgiving indicates happiness, finding peace, and the performance of good deeds.

To see in a dream that you have forgiven someone gives you the glad tidings that, on account of the good deeds you have performed, you are one of Allah’s beloved servants. Asking for forgiveness indicates that you will suffer an injustice and feel sorrow on account of it.

To forgive someone in a dream indicates that the person will perform a charitable deed, gladden someone, and attain merit. Asking for forgiveness, however, indicates that one will fall into difficulty after a short while.

Forgiving is a sign of greatness. To see in a dream that you ask forgiveness for a mistake committed by someone and forgive him indicates that you are kind-hearted toward everyone.

To see that you have been forgiven for many crimes you have committed indicates that you have acted wrongly and that you must certainly correct this error.

To see in a dream that, while standing before a judge in a courtroom, you are forgiven for one of your crimes indicates that Allah has forgiven your sins.

To see oneself forgiving another person in a dream indicates that some good and kindness will come from that person; to see that one’s mother or father forgives one for a fault one has committed indicates that one’s obedience toward one’s parents has weakened and that one must repent.

According to another narration, for a sinful person deserving punishment to see in a dream that Allah has forgiven his crimes and faults indicates that he is a righteous person or that he will offer expiation.

Some interpreters have said: To forgive the offense of an offender is greatness, and in such a case the person will perform a meritorious deed.

According to some, to see in a dream that you have made peace with someone who has done you evil and forgiven him for these actions indicates that you have suffered considerable loss because of a material wrong committed against you, but that, since the person who committed it is not in a financial position to compensate your loss, you have asked nothing of him and have thereby shown magnanimity.

According to another narration, whoever sees in a dream that he has forgiven the crime and fault he committed will perform a deed by which he will attain Allah’s forgiveness.

If a person sees that another person has forgiven his fault, that person will have a long life and attain a high rank.

The person whose fault is forgiven in a dream will have a long life and will be protected.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
