According to another narration: If the bird seen in a dream is unknown, it is an indication of the Angel of Death, Azrael (Peace be upon him). If an unknown bird seen in a dream takes from the house of a sick person a small stone, a leaf, a worm, or something similar, and flies with it into the sky, that sick person will die. Seeing the bird fall upon oneself indicates the arrival of a guest.

Seeing a bird that is evil and has no good in it indicates an enemy; a bird that has no evil and possesses only good indicates safety from fear, lawful sustenance, and garments.
Seeing in a dream a bird that does not fly flying indicates breaking one’s covenant and occupying oneself with disobedience. Seeing a bird that remains continually in water indicates people whose livelihood depends upon water, or a person possessed of piety, and cleanliness.
Ibn Sirin: Seeing a bird in a dream indicates a king, a messenger, or a beautiful deed. The interpretation varies according to the species of the bird; hunting birds indicate honor, while singing birds indicate joy.
