To see an empty bucket in a dream means losing money. To see a full bucket in a dream is interpreted as earning money; to see a bucket half full is interpreted as unexpected news.

To see oneself filling a bucket with water in a dream signifies dreams, hopes, and expectations. If the bucket is clean, the person’s dream will come true.

To see a bucket in a dream is interpreted as a man who earns through toil. Whoever sees that he possesses a bucket full of water and drinks from it or gives the people to drink from it will both benefit himself and benefit the people from the property he has earned with toil and difficulty. To see oneself filling a pitcher with the water drawn from the well indicates that this money will soon be spent or that its benefit will become mingled with sins. To see oneself watering a garden with one’s bucket in a dream indicates that one will marry and benefit from the property of one’s spouse. If the garden blossoms with flowers, it is a sign that one will have a male child.

To see oneself drawing water from an old well in order to give one’s camels water or to give people to drink indicates that one performs good deeds and is a charitable person, as though one were a shepherd. To draw water from an old well in order to give animals to drink indicates hypocrisy and that one invents lies and deceit in proportion to the water one draws. To see oneself lowering the bucket into the well in order to drink from it oneself indicates that one’s good deeds are performed solely for worldly gain, money, esteem, or rank. If an imprisoned person sees in a dream that he draws water with a bucket in order to bathe, it indicates that he will escape from prison or be released soon; it also indicates that he will acquire wealth after sorrow and rejoice.

If a person whose wife is pregnant sees in a dream that he lowers a bucket into the well and draws water, it indicates that his wife will give birth to a male child. If he is a merchant, it indicates that his new merchandise will reach his shop safely and soundly; if he is ill, it indicates that he will awaken in good health in a miraculous manner. To stand at the head of a well in a dream is a sign of blessing and benefit. A well in a dream also represents a woman. For a student, the well represents his teacher. That which is drawn from the well also represents the person’s allotted fortune.
