Cellar

To see a cellar in a dream signifies one’s mother or a pregnant woman; if a person whose mother is alive sees in his dream that the cellar has fallen into ruin, it signifies the death of his mother.

The rotting of foodstuffs found in the cellar in a dream signifies famine and hardship; seeing a cellar filled with food and provisions signifies abundance and low prices for everyone, and for a married man it signifies that his wife will become pregnant.

If fire falls upon the foodstuffs in the cellar in a dream, it signifies high prices and famine; falling into the cellar signifies death for a sick person, drowning in water for one travelling by ship, the road being cut off for travellers by land, and, for those in other circumstances, entering suspicious and questionable houses or places.

To see an underground cellar in a dream signifies becoming a guarantor and making payment. If one sees a cellar demolished or completely sealed up in a dream, and that person has a sick mother, it signifies her death.

To see that one has entered a cellar in a dream means that you will lose confidence in yourself. If you wish to succeed, you must be strong and trust yourself. It signifies an approaching distress and difficulty. If the cellar is illuminated, the distress will pass easily.

To see a cellar in a dream signifies a pregnant mother. Therefore, if a person sees in a dream that the cellar has been demolished or completely sealed up, and he has a sick mother, she will die; or, if there is a pregnant woman near that person, she will give birth. However, if a circumstance that reinforces the death of that pregnant woman is also seen in the dream, then the sealing of the cellar signifies that she will be buried upon her death. If no other condition reinforcing the death of the pregnant woman is seen, and the dreamer has food and grain in that cellar while awake, it signifies that he will sell them.

If one sees in a dream that the food in the cellar has become rubbish or earth, the prices of cereals and foodstuffs will fall. For this reason, his property and capital will depart. If a person sees that the cellar is filled with food and cereals, and he is poor, his wife will become pregnant. If it is seen that fire has fallen upon the food and cereals in the cellar, there will be famine in things such as grain, or it will be feared that harmful creatures such as locusts will appear.

If a person sees in a dream that the goods in the cellar are filled with things such as dates, the price of the grain and food in the cellar will be high, like the price of dates and sugar. If a sick person sees that he has fallen into an unknown cellar or pit, he will die. If he is aboard a ship, he will drown. If he is travelling, his road will be cut off. If he is in a state of enmity, he will be imprisoned. If none of the circumstances mentioned exists, he will enter a bathhouse into which it is reprehensible to enter, or the house of a woman who commits adultery.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of emotional life, work and responsibility, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
