Seeing That You Cheated

To see in a dream that one has cheated is an omen of troubles, distresses, and approaching dangers. It signifies that the person who sees the dream has made, or may make, attempts in waking life to cheat on his spouse as well. To see oneself deceiving one’s spouse indicates that the dreamer’s heart has been deeply affected by a person whom he did not previously know but who has entered his life in recent times, and that he has not restrained his feelings toward that person; for this reason, he will endure difficult days. It signifies that, at the end of this process, the dreamer will embark upon a secret affair, that everything will proceed beautifully and he will be very happy at the beginning of the relationship, but that after some time has passed he will feel regret.

To cheat on one’s spouse in a dream signifies that the person possesses a weak personality and character in religious matters, has strayed from the right path, and has acted wrongly; it also indicates that the person’s family and close circle have therefore distanced themselves from him, and that the dreamer has lost the support of his family.

According to some Islamic scholars, to cheat on one’s spouse in a dream is interpreted as an admonitory dream requiring repentance. It signifies that the dreamer has acquired gains through deceit and trickery, by unlawful means, and that, abandoning the path of morality, he has committed sins against chastity; therefore, he must repent. Otherwise, he will enter a path from which there is no return, and his end will come in this pit. It also signifies that his affairs will neither improve nor go well in the future, even though he may suffer great remorse and repent.

To see in a dream that one has cheated with one’s closest friend signifies that the dreamer will make an immoral decision and will consequently fall into both material and spiritual distress in time; yet, through the spiritual strength in particular of a friend near him, he will find a solution to this distress, turn back through his friend before committing a grave error, and attain peace.

To see one’s spouse cheating in a dream signifies that there are enemies in the dreamer’s life who do not like him and strive to strike him from behind at every opportunity. It signifies that the dreamer will suffer harm at the hands of his enemies, experience great quarrels and separations, lose his peace, and become unhappy.

A person who sees in a dream that his spouse has cheated on him will, in waking life, become estranged from his spouse; the couple will experience certain unpleasantness, and even if the elders of the family intervene, they will be unable to resolve this unrest, and separation will occur.

According to some religious scholars, a person who sees in a dream that his spouse has cheated on him should behave more closely and affectionately toward his spouse in waking life, take greater interest in his spouse, and prevent problems from arising and growing by spending more time with his spouse. Otherwise, it is an omen that the happy and peaceful family life will be disrupted.

According to some dream interpreters, this dream signifies that the dreamer will witness, in his working life, a person whom he never expected acquiring unlawful gain; that he will become restless because he cannot tell anyone of this matter; and that, after a while, he too will unwillingly enter unlawful paths and improve his financial condition by obtaining unjust gain.

To see in a dream that one has been cheated on signifies that the dreamer will suffer a material loss. If the dreamer owns a business, this dream is an admonitory dream for him. It is an omen that the dreamer will soon take new steps to expand his affairs and, with a new friend acquired in a new environment he has entered, will take a further step toward forming a partnership in their business lives; yet that this person is actually sunk in debt, and if the dreamer fails to see this and exercise caution, he will incur a heavy debt.

It indicates that a person should not immediately trust those he meets in his working life. If the dreamer is a student and sees in a dream that he has been cheated on, it is related that, at a moment he least expects and when he has lost hope, he will pass a difficult examination in his educational life, advance to a higher level, and subsequently attain a good position; it also signifies that among his relatives he will support other people’s children in their education.

If a person who sees in a dream that he has been cheated on is awaiting a promotion in his working life or hoping to advance to a higher level, it means that this wish and expectation will turn out contrary to his hopes. It signifies that, contrary to what the dreamer expects, he will remain in the same position in his working life and may even lose that job after a certain period.

For a lover to see in a dream that he has been cheated on signifies that the dreamer will soon meet someone new, begin to be affected by that person after only a short while, and, becoming distant from his present lover, gradually sever the bond between them. It signifies that the person is inclined to cheat on his lover in waking life, will make his lover feel this at the first opportunity, and that they will separate.

It is related that a debtor who sees in a dream that he has been cheated on will fall into distress because of his existing debts; although he tries to save money, he will be unable to accumulate anything because he lacks abundance and blessing, and for this reason he will fall into a dead end, become psychologically depressed, and fall ill.

Those who see in dreams that they have cheated or been cheated are generally people who, in waking life, do not trust themselves or those before them and whose self-confidence is lacking. If a person is married and cheats on his spouse, or if he has a lover and cheats on that lover, and he feels remorse for this condition in his subconscious, such people generally see this dream. In other words, this dream is in fact the outward manifestation of inner thoughts.

Some psychologists maintain that people who see in dreams that they have cheated or been cheated are actually inclined toward this in their real lives but are unable to dare to do so; therefore, they see this dream at certain periods, especially when these feelings become intensified. People who lie in daily life, or who are inclined to lie, also continually see in their dreams that they have been cheated on.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
