Weeping over the Dead

In a dream, to weep over the dead with lamentation and outcry signifies admonition. To hear this weeping signifies a foul and exceedingly offensive odor, and opening a place from which filth is issuing. Sometimes, to hear the voice of a woman weeping with lamentation signifies a wedding gathering to be held with tambourines, shawms, and instruments of amusement.

To hear in a dream the weeping of a woman whose masculinity and femininity are not apparent is good in no circumstance. If a person sees in a dream that lamentation and weeping are taking place in a certain place, change and an evil measure will occur in that place. Consequently, the gathering of the people of that place will disperse.

If a person announces the death of someone in a dream by lamenting and shouting, then, if that man is a known person, it signifies that the dreamer will be afflicted by a calamity on account of that deceased person. If a person sees that he is shouting and weeping over a dead person or something else and is greatly sorrowful, it signifies relief and joy.

To weep while shouting in a dream signifies stirring up sedition by the one who weeps. Sometimes, such weeping signifies straying from guidance into error or apostasy from the religion. Sometimes, to weep with lamentation signifies things such as the shawm, reed flute, pipe, and whistle. These too signify weeping with lamentation.

To see in a dream women who are paid to weep over the dead signifies a change in circumstances, the ruin of the house, and, in accordance with the noble hadith, “To lament and cry out over the dead is an act of the Age of Ignorance,” committing ugly deeds.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
