Diver

In a dream, the diver signifies sustenance for those whose profession is diving or who dwell near water; for those in inland climates, it signifies greed and covetousness; and the diver signifies a person who enters difficult and arduous affairs blindly, as well as scholars who take the words of the pioneering imams and learned men as their principles, follow the fine practices of the spiritual guides, and are leaders of the people. The diver sometimes signifies gaining knowledge of the subtleties of a matter and accomplishing what is difficult.

If a person sees himself as a diver in a dream, there are those who trouble him and there are difficulties, and these circumstances are putting him under strain.

Seeing a diver in a dream is interpreted as wealth and property. If one sees himself donning a diver’s suit and plunging into the sea, it signifies that he will attain a great fortune or that some benefit will come to him from a government official; if he is a merchant, it signifies that he will profit, and if he is ill, that he will soon recover. If one sees himself walking in the streets or moving about in his house while wearing a diver’s suit, it signifies that he will become beloved among the people of that place or within his family; and if he sees himself removing the diver’s suit from his body and then entering the sea, it signifies that he will rise to a station higher than the one he presently occupies.

According to another narration: The diver seen in a dream is the head of state. Whoever sees himself diving into the sea to bring out pearls will enter the service of the state. The diver signifies one who ventures fearlessly into arduous affairs. Seeing a diver signifies a great scholar who follows the ways of the spiritual guides, understands the subtleties of the words spoken by the investigators of truth, and is a leader of the people.

Although the interpretation of seeing a diver in a dream is of no benefit, it signifies a person who endangers his life and property in the service of a great dignitary of the state.

Ibn Sirin: Seeing a diver in a dream signifies one who seeks knowledge, a person who investigates secrets, or a merchant who embarks upon a perilous enterprise.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, home and environment, emotional life, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concluded in the dream should be evaluated together.
