Drinking Sherbet
According to Ibn Sirin (may Allah be pleased with him), drinking sherbet that has a pleasant fragrance and is sweetened with honey is interpreted in six ways: benefit, beneficial knowledge, beauty, sustenance, uprightness in religion, and remembering Allah (the Most Glorious and Exalted).
Drinking sherbet that is sour in taste in a dream signifies sorrow and grief. Drinking sherbet whose fragrance is pleasant and whose taste is moderate indicates goodness, benefit, and worship.
According to Jābir al-Maghribī, whoever sees that he is drinking sherbet made from apples, pears, apricots, strawberries, or the like, without any sourness in its taste, will attain goodness and benefit. According to one account, the dreamer’s life will be long and his sustenance abundant. Whoever sees that he is drinking beverages with a sour taste, such as lemonade, bitter-orange sherbet, or sour pomegranate sherbet, will be afflicted with sorrow and grief.
