According to Ja‘far al-Sadiq: Seeing an eagle in a dream is interpreted in eight ways: honour, command, leadership, praise, a good reputation, a high position, authority, and journeying.

According to another narration: If a person sees in a dream that he is struggling with an eagle, his superior will become angry with him and will set a tyrannical person upon him to trouble him.

Whoever sees that he possesses an eagle will attain a great estate, might, and honour. If a person sees that he possesses an eagle, flies together with it, and is not afraid of it, then his affairs will be good, but he himself will be tyrannical.

Whoever sees that he has obtained an eaglet will have a child of exalted worth. Whoever sees this dream during the day will fall ill. If the eaglet scratches him, his illness will be prolonged.
