According to the interpretation of Jābir al-Maghribī: If a person sees in his dream that he has a cubit in his hand, this signifies beginning a task; if he sees himself opening out something folded or bundled and measuring it with a cubit, this signifies earning lawful sustenance; and if he sees himself measuring his own hand with a cubit, this signifies acquiring property whose being lawful or unlawful is doubtful.
