Jailer

To see a jailer in a dream signifies one who digs graves.

(Also, to see a jailer in a dream signifies that an accident will occur through the hand of the dreamer. It denotes sorrow and distress on account of slander.

If one sees in a dream that he is in a detention house and speaking with jailers, it signifies that he is in distress; if one of the jailers says something to him, it signifies that he will soon be delivered from this distress; if the jailers lock him in a cell, it signifies that his affairs will go awry; and if they bring him out of a cell, it signifies that he will be delivered from distress.

To see oneself as a jailer in a dream signifies that one will now be delivered from all troubles. To see that one is in a detention house and encounters a jailer signifies that, because one is among a large family, one is greatly weary, that this life has become exceedingly tedious for one, and that one’s heart is constricted because one cannot live under such oppression for a long time.

According to another narration, to see a jailer in a dream signifies distress. If one sees that the jailers have locked him in a cell, it signifies that he will suffer material and spiritual harm. To see a jailer also signifies a tyrannical husband and an ill-tempered woman.

Ibn Sirin: To see a jailer in a dream signifies a grave-digger, one who reminds people of the torment of the grave, or a debt collector. A jailer is sometimes interpreted as one who keeps secrets.)
