Things that are hard by their nature in a dream signify a person of coarse disposition. Hard and rigid ground signifies persistence in erroneous matters and deficiency of intelligence, whereas soft ground signifies strength of intelligence and memory.

To pass in a dream from hard ground to soft ground signifies every kind of good; to pass from soft ground to hard ground signifies adverse circumstances.
