Hearing Sound and Speech
To see in a dream that one’s throat is obstructed and that no voice comes forth signifies that he will suffer hardship in sustenance for as long as he lives. To see oneself speaking in a language one does not know is interpreted in the following ways:
To see oneself speaking Arabic signifies honour. To see oneself speaking Persian signifies speaking with the great men of the state and deriving benefit from them. To see oneself speaking Hebrew signifies coming into an inheritance. To see oneself speaking Hindi signifies companionship with a wretched and base person. Whoever sees himself speaking Turkish will receive good news.
To see oneself speaking Greek in a dream signifies greed for acquiring wealth. To see oneself speaking in other foreign languages signifies that one expects goodness and benefit from someone. Whoever sees himself speaking Armenian is deemed to have conversed with a person of corrupt origin. Whoever sees himself speaking all languages at once is deemed an honoured person in the world and among the people.
Speaking one’s own mother tongue in a dream is not interpreted. If a person hears a voice in his dream but cannot understand from whence it comes, he will receive news from the unseen. To hear a familiar voice calling him is interpreted as good if that voice is pleasant, and as evil if it is ugly.
Positive Meaning
It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.
Shadow Meaning
Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
Advice
In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
