Concealing Oneself

In a dream, concealing oneself in a house signifies that people will offer consolation on account of a condition that has befallen one; for a pregnant woman, it signifies giving birth to a daughter.

Concealing oneself behind a mountain in a dream signifies receiving help from, or relying upon, a person who knows the worth and value of things; concealing oneself behind a tree signifies drawing near to a person of knowledge; and concealing oneself may sometimes denote hypocrisy and evil deeds. Intrigue is an event beyond comprehension. It is also interpreted as interesting news.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has concealed himself and hidden his face will have a daughter born to him. Or he will fear someone and flee.

According to Abu Sa‘id al-Wa‘iz: seeing oneself conceal his face from everyone by hiding in a room signifies fleeing and hiding out of fear of falling into calamity.

According to another narration: whoever sees in a dream that he has entered a house and concealed himself will be offered condolences. If a person conceals himself in a dream, he will have a daughter. Concealing oneself in a dream indicates the thing behind which one has concealed himself. Therefore, seeing oneself concealed upon a mountain is interpreted as relying upon and taking support from a person of rank and worth.

Whoever sees himself concealed while leaning against a tree will incline toward a learned person. If the wife of the dreamer is pregnant, a daughter will be born. At times, concealing oneself also signifies separation and speaking of evil deeds.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
