Bill of Exchange

In a dream, writing a bill of exchange for someone in a city more developed than the place where one is located signifies borrowing money for the sake of trade and profit, making a profit with this money, advancing one’s affairs, and gaining superiority over one’s peers.

Writing a bill of exchange in a dream for someone residing in a small settlement signifies suffering a loss and the decline of one’s affairs.

To see in a dream that one goes to a bank and wishes to draw a bill of exchange in order to send a sum of money to a friend or relative in another country signifies that one will ask someone for money in order to engage in trade and earn money.

To see in a dream that money has been sent to oneself by a bill of exchange, yet one is unable to receive the money, signifies that one will suffer a loss from the trade one undertakes.

According to another narration: Whoever sees that he gives money to a man in order to write a bill of exchange for his friend in another city more developed than the city in which he is located borrows money from someone in the hope of trade and profit, and thereby acquires property and possessions. Those around him will take him as an example, and his affairs will prosper. If the city stated on his bill of exchange is less developed than the city in which he is located, or is another city equal to it, he will suffer a loss from the goods for which he borrowed money, or will merely recover his capital.

Ibn Sirin: To see a bill of exchange in a dream signifies debt, a trust, or travel.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of financial matters, work and responsibility, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
