Sayyid Sulayman: To see one of the renowned jurisconsults in the world of dreams signifies goodness and joy. Whoever sees an unknown jurisconsult, a pious and righteous man will come to the region in which he resides.

If one who is worthy of this office sees in his dream that he is a jurisconsult, he will attain honour and rank. If he is already in a high position, his degree will rise still further. Whoever wears the garment peculiar to jurisconsults: if he is worthy of this profession, his knowledge will increase. If not, he will desire to appear as a learned jurisconsult despite his ignorance. He will act hypocritically.

According to one narration, if an ignorant person sees this dream, he will gain honour and rank. According to another opinion, he will change his occupation. Whoever sees that he is a jurisconsult who educates and disciplines others will enter an office in which he will possess authority. Whoever sees that he is teaching children the science of jurisprudence will attain a position through which he will benefit others.

If one of the jurisconsults sees in his dream that he is not a jurisconsult, he will abandon his profession, forget his knowledge, and fall into innovation. Whoever sees that he is jesting with the jurisconsults will benefit from their knowledge and become one of the company of jurisconsults. Whoever sees that he is disputing and contending with a jurisconsult will stray into innovation. He will strive to harm the religion.

Whoever is rebuked and beaten by a jurisconsult in a dream will derive good from his knowledge and maturity. Whoever kisses the hand of a jurisconsult will follow the Sunnah of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and obey the jurisconsults. To see a jurisconsult lying down and sleeping signifies that he will abandon his knowledge and pay no heed to the affairs of the people. To see the jurisconsult ascending to a high place signifies that his fame and esteem among the people will increase.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
