Seeing a Jew in a dream signifies an enemy; a deceitful person who practices magic and treachery, prolongs his debt, and does not repay it under various pretexts. Seeing oneself conducting worldly dealings and conversing with a Jew signifies denying the truth and one’s being a Muslim remaining confined to words; seeing a Jewish woman signifies worldly gain that, although promised, never comes to pass.

Seeing oneself as a Jew in a dream denotes being bold in committing sins and denying a right belonging to another.

Seeing oneself speaking with a Jew in a dream is interpreted as that person’s failing to fulfil his religious duties and his apostatizing from the faith. Whoever sees in his dream that he is a Jew turns toward error, loves the Jews, affirms their beliefs, and thereby withdraws from his religion.

According to Abu Sa‘id al-Wa‘iz: Whoever sees in his dream that he is a Jew will abandon and neglect his obligatory duties and, on account of this, suffer punishment in this world. Whoever sees that, while white garments are behind him, he is called out to with the words, “O Jew!”, and feels distressed by this, is in hardship and awaits relief from it.

Whoever sees a community of Jews in a dream repents unto the Exalted God. Seeing one or several Jews denotes guidance. Whoever sees that he has entered Judaism will inherit from a close relative.

According to another narration: The Jew seen in a dream, whether young or old, is an enemy. Whoever sees in a dream that he is dealing or conversing with a Jew sees a person who denies the truth and passes time in words instead of fulfilling the right.

The Jew seen in a dream is an enemy appearing in the guise of a friend. At times, seeing a Jew signifies suffering hardship and toil from the butchers’ faction.

If a person sees in a dream that he is a Jew and he has a lawsuit, it signifies that he denies the right incumbent upon him. Some interpreters said that this dream signifies conducting dealings with a Jew. If the person who sees a Jew in a dream is in debt, it also signifies that he denies a right incumbent upon him and wrongs the rightful owner.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
