Judge

To see in a dream that one is a qadi who judges with justice signifies preserving the measures of fairness and mercy in one’s work and profession; a judge who listens as witnesses to just and competent people signifies the true truths that will lead a person to salvation; a judge who listens as witnesses to the rabble and ordinary people signifies a bribe-taking, tyrannical judge; the judge sometimes signifies the Day of Reckoning, when true justice shall be manifested.

To see a judge in a dream is interpreted as justice. To see a judge present in a courtroom with a furrowed brow and stern countenance signifies that hoarding is being practiced in that place and that the tradesmen are engaging in fraudulent sales. To see the judge with a smiling face is a sign that people are being treated with justice.

To see in a dream that one appears before a judge concerning a lawsuit signifies that one’s difficult affairs in this world will be set in order with ease and that one will pass one’s life in peace until the end of one’s days.

To see in a dream that one is giving judgment as a judge in a courtroom means that a matter of one’s own in a government office, which has for a long time been unable to be concluded, will reach a favorable outcome.

To see in a dream that one leaves the court arm in arm with a judge signifies that, if there is a disagreement between oneself and one’s relatives, it will be resolved; and if one is pursuing an inheritance, that affair will be settled and money will come into one’s hands.

According to another narration: Whoever sees the judge in a fine and pleasing condition in a dream, this signifies that he will attain what he desires. Sometimes the judge signifies one who makes decisions, an engineer, a friend, and a gathering. Seeing the judge also signifies a tailor and a needle-worker.

To see in a dream that the judge listens as a witness to a senile and mad person signifies that the judge accepts bribes and turns toward people of evil thoughts and corrupt character. Sometimes the judge signifies one’s mother and father, a spiritual master, a teacher, and that which a person desires from justice and rightful judgment.

To see the judge’s assistants in a dream signifies seeing a person who helps with empty and futile things.

If someone sees the judge’s assistants dressed in white garments in his own house in a dream, this dream brings glad tidings that its possessor will be delivered from sorrow and grief, from illness, or from fear and distress. If black garments are upon the judge’s assistants, this dream signifies illness, sorrow, and grief. This interpretation may also be understood from their speech and from their agreement with one another.

Ibn Sirin: To see a judge in a dream signifies justice, knowledge, and wisdom. The judge also signifies the judgment of Allah, destiny, and the distinguishing of truth from falsehood. To see the judge judging with justice is interpreted as abundance and blessing, while to see him acting tyrannically is interpreted as sedition and oppression. To see oneself appearing before the judge signifies being a litigant or seeking one’s rightful due.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
