The Author: To recite a lament in a dream signifies that certain people living in the place where you are will part from one another; to see that one of the prominent personages has died and that an elegy is recited after him signifies that this person will suffer harm in waking life. To see yourself reciting a lament and crying out signifies that you will encounter something evil.

Jabir al-Maghribi: To see someone who had previously died dying again, while his relatives lament and weep at his bedside, signifies that the family of the deceased will experience distress. To see, in the same dream, his relatives weeping silently signifies that his close ones will experience joy on account of the deceased.

Contemporary Scholars: To see mourning or a place of mourning signifies a short-lived distress.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
