Mula‘ana in a Dream

Dream Dictionary / L / Mula‘ana

M
Seeing in a Dream

Mula‘ana

This word, meaning accusation and cursing one another, consists, in the terminology of Islamic jurisprudence, of four testimonies from each of the husband and wife, confirmed by oath and accompanied by the words “curse” and “wrath”; it thus takes the place of the hadd-punishment for false accusation with regard to the husband, and of the hadd-punishment for adultery with regard to the wife.

If a person sees in a dream that he is performing mula‘ana with his wife, this indicates that he is lying in his covenant and oath, and that there is doubt concerning his marriage. Sometimes mula‘ana indicates being banished and driven away. For the word “li‘an” is derived from “la‘n,” which means expulsion and removal. It is called mula‘ana because its completion is based upon cursing and recalling wrath.

Positive Meaning

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Shadow Meaning

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

Advice

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
