Mare

To see a mare in a dream denotes a woman of honour and esteem; for a bachelor, the mare denotes marriage. It indicates that the person shall attain all that he desires.

The interpretation of seeing a mare in a dream is made with a woman. Whoever sees in his dream that he is riding a mare shall meet a woman and enter into a relationship with her.

To see oneself falling from a mare in a dream denotes that one’s relations with a woman whom one has met shall deteriorate. To see oneself riding a mare and making her run signifies that one is greatly attached to one’s beloved and loves her unto death. To see oneself buying a mare in a dream denotes that one shall marry a woman of noble lineage. The mare also bears a separate interpretation according to her colour. A black mare denotes a wealthy and honourable woman; a grey mare, a beautiful woman; a bright-white mare, a woman devoted to her religion; a yellow mare, a sickly woman; and a chestnut mare, a noble and exceedingly beautiful woman.

To see in a dream that one’s mare has gone missing or died signifies that, if one is married, one shall part from one’s spouse; and if one is unmarried, that one’s attempt to marry shall come to nothing. Whoever sees himself dismounting from his mare and tying her in the stable shall leave his home and distance himself from his family.

To see oneself selling one’s mare in a dream is evidence that one shall divorce one’s spouse. Whoever sees in a dream that his mare has given birth shall have a child; and if he is unmarried, he shall receive glad tidings for which he has been waiting. To see oneself suckling milk from a mare denotes that, if one is a merchant, one’s profit shall increase; if one is a salaried or wage-earning person, one’s salary and wages shall increase; and if one is a tradesman, one shall earn more.

According to another narration: The mare seen in a dream is a sign of a woman of honour. If one rides the mare, that person shall commit an evil against a woman. A mare of the kind upon which a saddle may be placed signifies a woman and an estate with respect to livelihood. If a person sees that he has ridden a mare, possessed one, or purchased one, then, if he is unmarried, he shall marry a woman of honour and blessing. If a person sees that his mare has died, been stolen, or been lost and gone missing, this matter shall become manifest with regard to his wife and his livelihood.

If a person sees in a dream that he has abandoned his mare or dismounted from her, it is interpreted as his death, his separation from his wife, or his departure from his home. To see that one’s mare has given birth, and that her giving birth is near, is a sign that his livelihood is in good order and that his wealth shall increase. Whoever sees himself drinking the mare’s milk shall draw near to the ruler and attain goodness and wealth from him.
