Metal Mirror

In former times, mirrors were made not of glass but of various shining metals. To see one of these ancient mirrors in a dream is auspicious.

According to Ibn Sirin; seeing a metal mirror in a dream denotes a high position, in proportion to its size and brilliance. Whoever sees himself giving a mirror to someone entrusts his property to him, placing confidence in him.

According to Kirmani; if one sees himself looking into a mirror and his wife is pregnant, she will give birth to a male child resembling his father. If a pregnant woman sees herself looking into a mirror in a dream, she will have a daughter resembling herself. If she is not pregnant, a quarrel will arise between her and her husband, and estrangement will ensue.

If a child sees himself looking into a mirror in his dream, a sister will be born to him. For an official or a laborer to look into a mirror denotes that he will be dismissed from his employment.

According to Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz; there is a dual interpretation in seeing a mirror. They have said that many mirrors signify a man's manly virtue and rank.

Whoever sees his face in a mirror in a dream will succeed in his work and rise in station. Whoever sees his face beautiful and bearded in the mirror, if he has no beard, will treat the people well and act generously. Whoever sees his beard white will become poor. According to one report, his rank will increase and his religion will grow stronger. Some have likened the mirror to a woman and have said that seeing the mirror broken signifies her death.

According to al-Salimi; whoever sees in his dream that he has found a mirror but does not look into it will encounter something in his work that he dislikes. Whoever sees himself looking into a mirror, if he is married, will have a son; if his wife is not pregnant, he will separate from her and marry another woman. If he is unmarried, he will marry a beautiful woman.

According to Ja'far al-Sadiq; seeing a mirror in a dream is interpreted in seven ways: a spouse, a child, rank and office, command, a sincere friend, a partner, and a fine undertaking.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
