Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq: To hear in a dream beautiful names or noble epithets such as Abū al-Faḍl (Father of Virtue), Abū al-Khayr (Father of Goodness), and Abū Sa‘īd (Father of Felicity) is an indication of good.

To hear in a dream blameworthy epithets such as Abū Jahl (Father of Ignorance) and Abū Lahab (Father of the Flame) signifies evil.
