To swear an oath in a dream signifies doing a deed of which Allah the Exalted will approve, being safe from fear, and righteous conduct. According to some interpreters, this dream means gaining victory over enemies. Generally, dream interpretations differ according to whether the oath taken was false or true. If one is swearing to something true, it is a sign of speaking rightly and of victory.

To swear in a dream while being certain of oneself and of speaking the truth signifies the correct attitude, conduct, and deed; being safe from fear; and doing a deed of which Allah the Exalted will approve.

To swear falsely in a dream signifies poverty, the ruin of one’s house, abasement, and disgrace.

If the oath is sworn upon the proper matter, it carries meanings such as the person doing auspicious deeds, delivering a trust to its owner, performing good works, and gaining security from something.
