The White-Bearded Elder

To see a white-bearded elder in a dream signifies the presence of someone in the dreamer’s surroundings who prays for his welfare. It signifies that the dreamer’s mind is confused concerning a matter, that there are two choices before him and that he must choose one of them, yet he cannot reach a final decision because he fears being unable to make the right one. Therefore, it is interpreted that he shall consult that close person around him who is rich in profound experience and strong in spirituality, and that this person shall properly illuminate the dreamer’s path, for which reason the dreamer shall pray much for that person.

To speak with a white-bearded elder in a dream signifies a wise person who illuminates the way and is strong in spirituality, just as it also indicates the dreamer’s own strong spirituality. If the dreamer’s spirituality is truly strong, it means that he shall emerge from his distress and problem through his own inner voice; but if his spirituality is not so powerful, it means that he shall emerge from it by receiving spiritual strength from a learned person around him.

If the dreamer sees that the elder becomes angry with him while he is speaking with the white-bearded elder, it is interpreted as meaning that the dreamer is about to enter a wrong and unpleasant path under the influence of ill-intentioned people around him; if he follows those malicious people, his fortune, abundance, and path shall be closed, but if he does not follow them, his fortune, abundance, and path shall be opened.
