To see a poppy flower in a dream signifies news and developments that will make one happy; one’s own sibling and people with beautiful faces; to see the carnivorous, slender, long-bodied, small animal seen in houses signifies a merciless person of base character; and to see this animal entering the house signifies that a deceitful person will enter the house.

To see a poppy field in a dream signifies happiness. It is also interpreted as ardent love. A beautiful poppy, however, signifies a charming but ill-intentioned acquaintance.

To see oneself in a poppy field in a dream signifies that a matter one has been awaiting will come to pass very soon; if one gathers poppies and makes them into a bouquet, it signifies that one’s possessions will increase; if the leaves of the poppies one has gathered are falling, it signifies that one will suffer loss in one’s affairs. The poppy in a dream is interpreted as a lowly, tyrannical person, hard of heart and possessed of little mercy. Whoever sees a poppy entering his house, a deceitful person will enter his house.

Ibn Sîrîn: To see a poppy in a dream signifies an insolent, foolish, tyrannical, and cruel person. If a poppy enters the house in a dream, it indicates that evil or calamity may occur within the house.
