Qur’an Recitation
Ibn Sīrīn: In a dream, reading the Noble Qur’an or part of it signifies elevation in rank, the gaining of power and strength, repentance from sins, abundance, the repayment of debts, seeing the truth, or delivering a trust to its owner. Reciting the Qur’an in a beautiful voice denotes honour, dignity, and a good reputation. Seeing oneself add one’s own words while reciting the Qur’an signifies deviating from the truth or retracting one’s word and breaking one’s covenant. If, in such a state, one does not understand what one is saying, it denotes that one will give false testimony in court or become involved in an evil affair whose outcome cannot be foreseen. Seeing people listening to one’s own recitation of the Qur’an signifies that one will be appointed in authority over a matter and that people will follow one’s instructions.
Hearing or reciting in a dream a sūrah that is customarily recited for the dead may signify the death of a sick person from that family. In a dream, professional reciters of the Qur’an (qurrāʾ) represent the prominent figures of society. Hearing a professional recitation of the Qur’an signifies that the authorities will soon gather in the place where the dream was seen. Seeing oneself read one’s record of deeds on the Day of Resurrection signifies—if one is an illiterate person in this world—that one will become wealthy after suffering poverty, answer all the questions in the interrogation, or be protected by Allah Most High from the things one fears most.
This is so if one reads the record of deeds favourably; but if the record contains the reading of one’s sins and shortcomings, it denotes distress, trouble, and hardship.

Advice
