Reading / Recitation
Ibn Sîrîn: Reading the first page of a letter, a sheet of paper, or a book in a dream signifies receiving an inheritance. Reading its last page or back cover denotes becoming indebted. Reading a book likewise signifies receiving an inheritance. If one sees himself as a person who knows how to read and write and who reads well in a dream, it indicates that he will attain a high-ranking position. Seeing that one is reading his own book of deeds denotes that he will repent of his sins. Reading a book in another language indicates travelling to that country, or going to places unknown to him and undertaking a deed that will earn him renown.
Seeing that one reads a book in a foreign language but cannot correctly decipher its words indicates that he will be delivered from a danger he might encounter in that land, or that, having fallen ill in a foreign country, he will recover before returning to his homeland.
