Room

Seeing a room in a dream is interpreted as attaining happiness and success in the undertaking you have embarked upon.

Seeing a bright and clean room in a dream signifies a peaceful and prosperous home.

Seeing a room in a dream is interpreted as a woman. Whoever sees a room upon trees and poles will marry a kind-hearted woman. Whoever sees himself entering a new room will marry a woman whom he does not know, and his wealth and property will increase. Whoever enters a room whitewashed with lime, whose owner he does not know, will soon die. Whoever sees that he has fled and entered a room, closed its door, and that the room lies among other rooms, will be delivered from grief and distress. If he is ill, he will recover.

Whoever sees in a dream that his room has collapsed—if the room is old, he will acquire property. Whoever sees another person’s room collapse will earn money through that man. Whoever sees the room collapse upon him will become wealthy. Whoever sees himself in a new room will become a property owner. If the room is made of silver, he will repent of his sins.

If one’s room is larger than it actually is in a dream, he will attain blessing, property, and sustenance. Whoever sees that his room has become narrower will fall into poverty. Seeing one’s room larger and different from the other rooms is not good. Whoever sees himself sprinkling water in his room will begin an undertaking that will bring toil and hardship. Sprinkling water within a room is not auspicious.

For a person who is in a room in a dream and is prevented from going outside, this dream is a sign of good. Seeing oneself being tortured in a room in a dream signifies good and blessing, or, according to one report, death. For that room is his grave. Some say that the room is the woman whom a man loves. Whoever sees himself ascending upon an unfamiliar room will marry a virgin woman if the room is new, and a widow if it is old. Whoever sees himself carrying a room upon his back will take a poor woman as a wife.

According to Abdulgani al-Nabulsi, seeing a room in a dream is interpreted in various ways. A wife, abundance, illness, recovery, death, travel, and a servant—all of these must be interpreted according to the dream that has been seen. Whoever sees himself building a new room for himself in his house will marry. If he is ill, he will recover. If there is another sick person in his house, that person will find healing.

Entering a large and beautiful room in a dream signifies marrying a virgin woman or taking a beautiful maidservant. Whoever sees himself in a new room, separate from the other rooms and plastered with mud, and hears at that time a word signifying evil, will die. Seeing oneself imprisoned in a room whose door is tightly locked signifies goodness and health.

Whoever sees himself carrying the room upon his back and taking it away will provide all the livelihood of his spouse. If a woman sees this dream, she will nourish her husband well. Seeing one’s room as made of gold signifies that a fire will break out in one’s house. Seeing oneself emerging from a small and narrow room signifies deliverance from grief and distress; seeing the sky through it because it has no ceiling signifies that there is a woman in one’s house who will marry; and a spacious, plastered, and clean room signifies a chaste woman.

Seeing an old room whose plaster has fallen away in a dream signifies an immoral woman; a room with a cellar beneath it signifies a single man; a room made of iron signifies that his wife will live with him for a long time; and a dark room signifies a woman of corrupt morals. If the dreamer is a woman, it signifies a husband. Seeing a room walk away together with the men and furnishings within it signifies that the people of that quarter will suffer a calamity.

Entering a wet and muddy room in a dream signifies that he will suffer grief and distress because of a woman. Seeing oneself build or purchase a room for himself in a quarter signifies that he will marry in that place; it also signifies that his affairs will prosper because of a woman. Whoever sees himself refurnishing and adorning a room will suffer a great grief.

Painting and adorning a room in a dream signifies quarrels and disputes in the house. Whoever sees that his room is dark will undertake a journey from which no benefit will come.

According to another report: The room seen in a dream is interpreted as a woman, property, and wealth. Whoever sees a room will be delivered from sorrow and grief. Whoever sees the room collapse will become exceedingly wealthy.

Seeing a bright room in a dream signifies that you will gain great profit from the undertakings you enter into; seeing an empty room signifies that you will fall into poverty and become dependent upon others.

Ibn Sirin: Seeing a room or chamber in a dream signifies security, protection, marriage, a newborn child, or the mistress of the house. Seeing the room from afar signifies joy, contentment, and happiness. Being in a room with two or three compartments also signifies security. Entering in fear a room whose owner is unknown signifies safety, security, and the calming of one’s fears. If the person is ill, it signifies entering Paradise or being freed from his illness; rising in rank; attaining a high station in this world; and presiding over people through knowledge, experience, leadership, or spiritual maturity.

If a poor person sees himself in a new room in a dream, it signifies contentment and wealth; if a wealthy person sees himself therein, it signifies the loss of property or occupation. If a poor person sees himself in an old room, it signifies that he will become even poorer; and if a wealthy person sees himself therein, it signifies that his property will increase.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of home and environment, work and responsibility, success and reputation, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
