Seeing a sacrifice in a dream signifies, for the dream interpreter, making an error in his interpretation; and for other people, fulfilling their vow, sustenance, deliverance from illness and violence; and deeds that draw a person nearer to Allah (Glorious and Exalted is He). A sacrifice signifies entering a position concerned with the distribution of property, deliverance from all griefs and sorrows, glad tidings, joy and blessing; and, for a pregnant woman, a male child.

Slaughtering a sacrifice in a dream signifies deliverance from distress caused by evil eyes. However, the meat of the sacrifice is not considered good.

To sacrifice an animal in a dream in accordance with the sacred law is inauspicious; seeing oneself slaughtering an animal whose sacrifice is permissible is goodness and benefit. If the dreamer is bound to a place, he will be freed. If he has grief and distress, it will pass. If he is ill, he will recover. If he is poor, he will become wealthy. If he is in debt, he will pay his debt; if he has not performed the pilgrimage, he will perform it; and if he is in straitened circumstances, Allah (Glorious and Exalted is He) will expand his sustenance. According to Kirmani, seeing the sacrificial meat divided and given to the people signifies that a wealthy man will die and his property will be distributed among his relatives.

According to Jābir al-Maghribī, seeing a sacrifice is interpreted in two ways. One is glad tidings, and the other is blessing. If the dreamer is a woman and is pregnant, she will give birth to a righteous child. Seeing oneself sacrifice a ram signifies ransom. Through its blessing, one will be delivered from calamities. Sacrificing an animal seen to be lacking one of its limbs signifies a deficiency in one’s religion.

Seeing a sacrifice in a dream signifies that within a short time you will be delivered from the ill-treatment you have experienced and attain a better life. It is interpreted as the end of your illnesses and a happy life.

Ibn Sīrīn: Slaughtering a sacrifice in a dream signifies fulfilling one’s promises, deliverance from distress, the sick person’s recovery, or an increase in earnings. If the person slaughtering the sacrifice practices dream interpretation as his profession, it indicates that he has misinterpreted someone’s dream, given that person bad advice, or sacrificed that person’s interest. Slaughtering a sacrifice in a dream also signifies receiving an inheritance. If a pregnant woman sees such a dream, it indicates that she will give birth to a righteous male child.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.
