Saffron

Seeing saffron in a dream is a symbol that contains both the aspect of opportunity and that of trial. The principal emphasis gathers around bodily attentiveness, healing and protection, duties, the order of work and responsibility, appreciation, advancement, and visibility; therefore, the dream should be interpreted according to the feeling a person forms toward that symbol rather than according to the outward appearance of the event.

Ibn Sirin: If dry saffron in a dream does not stain the skin or garment, it signifies praising someone, commending him, or speaking well of him. If its color stains the skin or garment, it signifies illness. Drying purple saffron flowers in a dream, grinding them into powder, and using them in the making of perfume signifies a severe illness; even if many people pray for the person afflicted by this illness, it will be of no avail. It is also said that saffron in a dream signifies benefit so long as it does not touch or stain the skin.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.

In the interpretation, the themes of health and body, work and responsibility, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
