Whoever sees in a dream that he regards the devil as an enemy is religious and obedient to the commands of Allah (may He be glorified and exalted). At times, devils signify builders, diving into the water like a diver, spies, and those who steal words. At times, seeing the devil signifies speaking of a person’s faults behind his back and belittling him by gestures of the eyes and eyebrows.

Whoever sees in a dream that he himself is the devil amuses himself with people and torments them, or puts in order the water channels and sewers beneath the earth. The dream of the devil signifies forgetfulness. Seeing the devil in a dream signifies a scholar who possesses innovations, abandoning prayer, falsehood, theft, earning sin, and long life.
