Scabies

To see scabies in a dream signifies the plague; to have scabies and to itch signifies grief and distress that will come from the side of one’s relatives; to be afflicted with scabies signifies that affairs will be set right and that one will become wealthy, and, for the wealthy, that one will attain rank and position.

To have scabies in a dream means that your affairs will be very good and that you will earn much money. To see that one has scabies signifies that news bringing him grief will come from one of his relatives; to see that, although he scratches the place affected by scabies, no blood, pus, or the like flows from it signifies that the news he will receive will be very bitter; and to see that he applies medicine to his scabies signifies that his pain has subsided.

To see scabies upon the body of another person in a dream signifies that the dreamer will grieve, will fall into straitness concerning his work, will be removed from his employment, and will hear harsh words from his superiors.

According to Abdulgani Nablusi, to see in one’s dream that one has scabies is explained by three things: wealth, excessive speech, and something bestowed.

According to Ibn Sirin, to see scabies upon one’s body signifies acquiring wealth through toil and hardship; to see oneself scratching the scabies and water flowing from it signifies becoming possessed of wealth with ease; to see that one has scabies upon one’s body, then is immediately rid of it and that one’s wounds have healed, signifies being delivered from wealth or grief; and to see that the mark of scabies remains upon one’s body signifies amassing wealth.

According to another narration: To see scabies in a dream is a minor illness. To see that one has scabies and, although scratching it, nothing like yellow water or pus emerges from it signifies that such a person is in grief, sorrow, and hardship coming from his relatives and dependants. If the scabies is upon his body, his hardship is on account of his brother and his livelihood. If the scabies is upon his right hand, his hardship will arise from his means of subsistence. If it is upon his left hand, it signifies grief and sorrow that will reach him through his partner or his brother. If it is upon his cheek, his grief and sorrow are from his tribe. If the scabies spreads into his blood, his grief and sorrow will be on account of his wealth and children. If the scabies is watery, it signifies wealth acquired through grief and distress. If he scratches his scabies and it spreads onto his hands and wounds them, the interpretation is likewise.

If, in a dream, the scabies contains pus mixed with blood, wealth in an amount corresponding to the things mentioned will come into his hand as an increase. If the scabies causes him harm, the dreamer will seek someone who will aid him with his wealth during a trial and hardship. Some have also said that scratching or clawing scabies signifies grief and sorrow, and that an evil people will cause him suffering.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has scabies or another illness, if he is poor, his affairs will become easy and he will become wealthy. If he is wealthy, it signifies leadership. If he sees this illness in his son, it signifies that his son will obey him; and if he sees it in his wife, it signifies that every matter of his wife is vile. The same interpretation applies concerning everyone with whom the dreamer has a relationship.

Whoever sees in a dream that his neck has scabies, debts will accumulate upon him. In a dream, scabies signifies desiring poverty and children. Whoever sees himself scratching his body will investigate the condition of his family and relatives, and will fall into distress and hardship on account of them. Whoever sees that the scabies is soothed by scratching it will attain good and be delivered from grief on account of distress and toil, and will attain comfort.

Ibn Sirin: To see in a dream a person with scabies or a bald person signifies poverty and distress.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
