According to Abu Sa‘id al-Wa‘iz: Whoever sees in his dream that he seizes a scorpion and throws it upon a woman has in fact committed rape against that woman.

According to another narration: The sting of a scorpion is wealth that will come into the dreamer’s possession but will not endure. If a person swallows a scorpion in a dream, his enemy will become acquainted with his secrets.

Whoever sees a scorpion in his shirt or in his shop in a dream, that scorpion is an enemy who causes him grief and sorrow regarding his earnings. If he sees the scorpion but it does not sting him, and he is nevertheless afraid of it, his enemy is backbiting him.

Whoever sees himself driving and directing a scorpion against the people signifies that he commits the act of the people of Lot (sodomy). The interpretation is likewise for seeing a kind of scorpion that walks away dragging its tail and is deadly. However, the enmity of this kind of scorpion is more intense and greater.

According to some interpreters: The scorpion seen in the dreamer’s underpants is an enemy who interferes with his wife, slanders him, and does him harm. He must beware of that enemy. If he sees the scorpion upon his bed, that scorpion signifies his enemy, as well as grief and sorrow concerning his livelihood and earnings. If he sees scorpions in his belly, those scorpions are enemies among his own people.

If he sees scorpions coming out of his buttocks in a dream, those scorpions are enemies among his descendants, or an enmity that will arise between him and his descendants. Whoever sees himself eating a scorpion raw in a dream backbites a sinful person. The interpretation is the same for eating the flesh of any animal raw. A scorpion signifies a person who speaks with his tongue everything that comes into his heart and cannot distinguish his friend from his enemy. The scorpion’s claw is the tongue of the one who drives people away.

A scorpion in a dream also indicates that the person may be deceived, that his property may be stolen, or that he may be bitten by someone. The sting of a scorpion in a dream signifies unlawful wealth, backbiting, or harm from an enemy.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
