Ibn Sirin: To mount upon the shoulders of one’s enemy in a dream signifies committing an injustice against someone or perpetrating a shameful deed. If there is no enmity between them, and one sees in a dream that he has mounted upon the shoulders of his friend, it signifies that he shall gain something from him. Carrying someone upon one’s shoulders signifies being indebted to him. Carrying a hypocrite upon one’s shoulders in a dream may signify working in a timber workshop or earning one’s livelihood by carrying wood. The shoulders in a dream also represent one’s parents, siblings, partners, rank, or beauty; whatever befalls them will manifest in the aforementioned persons. The shoulders also signify one’s spouse, worker, assistant, or close friend.

For a prisoner, having broad shoulders in a dream signifies remaining in prison for a long period. Pain in the shoulders may signify the illness of one’s siblings. The shoulders also represent one’s child or the weight and amount of the responsibilities one may undertake.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
