Spitting in a dream is a sign of unlawful gain.

What does it mean to spit in a dream? It is interpreted as an evil word. To see oneself spitting in a dream is a sign that one will utter a speech that is not permissible. Whoever sees himself spitting in a mosque will utter words of goodness concerning religion.

Whoever sees himself spitting upon a wall in a dream gathers and hoards wealth that does not accord with the pleasure of Allah (Exalted is He). Whoever sees himself spitting upon the ground will purchase fields and farms.

Whoever sees himself spitting upon a tree in a dream does not keep his word and speaks lies. According to Kirmani, hot spittle denotes a long life; cold spittle, the shortness of life; black spittle, sorrow; and yellow spittle, illness. To see that the spittle in one’s mouth has dried is a sign of poverty.

Ibn Sirin: Spitting in a dream denotes property and speech. Cold spittle indicates death, while hot spittle indicates a long life. Spitting upon a wall denotes spending wealth in the way of Allah or investing wealth in a place. To see oneself spitting upon someone indicates that one will slander or disparage him. Spittle issuing from the mouth also denotes deliverance from troubles and distress.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.
