Seeing a starling in a dream signifies a pious, retiring, patient person who makes his living through lawful earnings. The starling sometimes signifies mixing good intentions with evil ones, a wealthy and honorable person, contentment with little, official employment, or play; its flesh and feathers signify attaining goodness. It points to a knowledgeable and mature person who has seen and experienced much.

Whoever sees that he eats the flesh of a starling or plucks something from its feathers or wing will attain goodness. Sometimes the starling signifies mixing good intentions with evil ones, and a person who is wealthy rather than poor, honorable rather than base. Sometimes the starling signifies being content with a small livelihood, play, or, at times, becoming a scribe.

Ibn Sīrīn: Seeing a starling in a dream signifies an ascetic, one who submits to the will of God, a true believer, a patient man, a traveler, or a companion on the road. Seeing that one holds a starling in one’s hand signifies that one will encounter a person possessing such qualities. If he eats its flesh or plucks its feathers, it signifies that he will obtain benefit. The starling in a dream may also represent mixing good deeds with evil deeds, or a person who is neither rich nor poor, neither upright nor wicked. Seeing a starling in a dream also signifies humiliation, contentment with little, or a writer.
