The interpretation of seeing a stomach in a dream is explained as lifespan, work, and livelihood. To see the stomach strong, sound, and well is auspicious and denotes a long life. To see the stomach disordered and weak is likewise not auspicious, and is a sign that one’s appointed time is near.

If a person sees in a dream that he is holding his stomach in his hand, his sustenance and livelihood are considered to be in his own hands. If he sees his stomach wounded and covered with boils, he will remain ill throughout his life. To see that one’s stomach has been split open and its inside washed denotes that, through repentance for his sins, he will refrain from consuming what is unlawful; to see another stomach beside one’s own is evidence that one will have a child or acquire some property.

If a person sees his stomach strong and sound in a dream, this is a sign of goodness and a long life for that person. If his stomach is not strong and sound, it is interpreted contrary to the foregoing. An empty stomach is a sign of goodness, comfort, and deliverance from illnesses.

Ibn Sirin: To see the stomach in a dream signifies property, family, secrets, one’s spouse, prison, the grave, health, illness, a friend, a traveller, and the nature of a person’s religious life and worship. To see one’s stomach open in a dream may denote that one’s affairs will temporarily cease, or that one will lose the benefits acquired up to that time. The other matters mentioned may also apply. If the person is a pregnant woman and she sees a baby or part of her baby emerge from her abdomen, this may denote the release of a member of her family who is imprisoned, the destruction of the family graves, the removal of the corpse of one of the family from the grave and the manifestation of its illness and infestation with worms, or the disclosure of the person’s private life to the public.

If he is truly suffering from such an illness, his dream is a sign that he will recover. To see in a dream that one has no stomach denotes that one will lose a friend, that one’s guardian will soon die, or that one will become a pious, ascetic person devoted to worship. To see fire issuing from one’s stomach may signify that one has acquired unlawful wealth or indicate falsehood.
