Seeing a hearth in a dream signifies the one who manages the household affairs, a riding animal, or the person’s own automobile, and the shop or work by which the person earns his livelihood. For the unmarried, the hearth denotes marriage; for the unbeliever, becoming a Muslim; and for the sinner, repentance.

Seeing a hearth in a dream with a bowl or the like upon it signifies, for a married person, that his wife will become pregnant; for one coming from somewhere or going somewhere, the hearth denotes the home.

Seeing a hearth with fire in a dream signifies the fulfillment of needs and sustenance, while a hearth without fire signifies grief and sorrow. Seeing a fire burning on the hearth with beautiful flames signifies offspring; the fire in the hearth signifies the person’s stomach, and the wood seen therein signifies the things he eats; the pot seen on the hearth signifies the husband and the hardships he endures to provide for the needs of the household.

Seeing an empty hearth in a dream signifies a matter that is still in the planning stage, whose realization you have not yet carried out. A hearth containing coal means that there will be favorable changes in your work life after the efforts you have exerted. The extinguishing of a hearth signifies deterioration in one’s work and trouble in family life.

What does it mean to see a hearth in a dream: Some interpreters have held that it signifies health and abundant earnings. It has also been stated by certain interpreters that cooking food on the hearth in a dream points to the family.

Interpretation of seeing a hearth in a dream: It is related that, because of this, the person will not be able to advance very far in his working life.

Seeing oneself beside a hearth and trying to light it signifies that you are striving to complete a work you have begun; seeing that your hearth has gone out signifies that your work has reached an impasse. According to Abu Sa‘id al-Wa‘iz, the hearth in a dream is a wife. If the hearth is made of lime, the wife is the daughter of an arrogant family. If it is made of wood, she is from a family of gossips. If it is made of a precious metal such as gold or silver, she is from an honorable family. If it is made of brick and stone, she is the daughter of a poor and virtuous family.

Seeing a hearth being lit in a dream signifies that its owner’s means of livelihood will become restricted. According to the views of some interpreters, seeing a hearth being lit denotes the household’s undertaking a journey.

Whoever sees in his dream that he has built a hearth will live in abundance. Whoever sees the hearth burning will spend his life happily with his family. The house of one who sees that the hearth has gone out will be ruined.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
