Cutting / Being Cut

In a dream, cutting something is a sign of good if it is done for the purpose of using it; in other circumstances, it signifies that affairs will remain stunted, a decrease in lifespan and sustenance, separation, and longing.

The coming together or gathering of cut pieces in a dream signifies that those who are far away or living apart will come together.

The cutting of the hand in a dream signifies abandoning the prayer or repentance; the cutting of the hands and feet crosswise signifies corruption in religion; and the cutting of the sexual organ signifies the extinction of progeny or the disturbance of one’s comfort on account of family members.

The cutting of the nose and ear in a dream signifies poverty, being unable to receive news and letters, and wrongdoing and fault. The cutting of the tongue signifies that one’s proofs will not be deemed credible; the cutting of the organs (limbs) also signifies a journey or separation.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.

In the interpretation, the themes of emotional life, work and responsibility, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
