Watchman / Watch Duty

Ibn Sīrīn: To see a watchman signifies that you will attain a position of authority; to see yourself keeping watch in a good and proper manner signifies that you will attain happiness both in this world and in the Hereafter.

To see yourself keeping watch in the palace of a sultan in a dream signifies that you will obtain goodness and benefit from a leader; or, if you are a merchant, that you will gain much profit from your trade.

To see yourself keeping watch over good and pious persons in a dream indicates that you will obtain religious benefits from them.

To see yourself going about with devout watchmen signifies that you will obtain benefit; to see yourself going about with sinful watchmen signifies that you will suffer harm.

It can be read as a sign of easing, receiving support, gaining morale, or a fruitful development.

Underestimating opportunities, succumbing to comfort, or being late may reduce the positive effect.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, spiritual signs, home and environment, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
