To be present at a wedding in a dream and to eat of the food served on that occasion signifies the removal of sorrow and grief; giving a wedding feast signifies undertaking the affairs of the people. It announces that happiness will come.

Seeing a wedding in a dream is a sign of happiness. If you see yourself getting married, it means that you will receive bad news from an acquaintance living far away. It indicates that the person’s life will be colorful and cheerful, and that he will encounter various interesting events.

To see in one’s dream a wedding held without music or merriment signifies goodness, abundance, relief, and joy. To see a wedding with intoxicants, noise, and tumult is not good. Particularly if there is dancing at the wedding, it signifies calamity.

According to Abu Saʿīd al-Wāʿiẓ: Seeing a wedding in a dream is a calamity for the one who gives the wedding. For one invited to the wedding, if there is no food, it signifies cheerfulness and joy.

According to Kirmānī (may God have mercy on him): Whoever sees in his dream that he has been appointed to manage the affairs of a wedding will die, and his relatives will not be present at his funeral. To see a wedding taking place in the house of a sick person signifies the death of that sick person. Kirmānī says, “I regard with aversion seeing a wedding at which several kinds of musical instruments are present.” For singing and playing music at a wedding is interpreted as calamity and sorrow.

According to Ibn Kathīr: The interpretation of seeing a wedding in a dream is made according to that of a funeral. Whoever sees that he is holding his own wedding will soon have a funeral ceremony held for him. Whoever sees that he has married off his son, held a wedding, and had music played will attend his son’s funeral ceremony. Whoever sees that he has been invited to a wedding and eats there will have eaten food prepared for the dead.

According to another narration: If a person finds himself at a wedding feast in a dream, or if he himself prepares a wedding feast, it signifies the removal of sorrow and grief, and a rank and position to which the people will turn for their affairs. At times, a wedding feast also signifies sorrow, grief, and being harmed by hand or tongue.

Abu Saʿīd al-Wāʿiẓ said: What does seeing a wedding in a dream signify? It is a calamity for the one who gives the wedding. To see a wedding in the house of a sick person signifies the death of that sick person. Some interpreters have said that seeing a wedding with dancing contrary to Islam is an evil dream. For singing and playing music at a wedding is interpreted as calamity and sorrow.

To see a wedding house in a dream signifies that the dreamer will soon meet with a friend, that he will fall into a disagreement of opinion with this friend, but that the matter will be amicably settled through the intervention of different people. What does seeing a wedding house in a dream mean? It also signifies good fortune.

Ibn Sīrīn: If a person sees himself in a dream as the bridegroom on his wedding night, together with musicians and female dancers, it indicates that he may die in that place. If a person sees in his dream that he has intercourse with his wife, it indicates a good and auspicious affair.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.
