Wild Animal

To see a wild animal in a dream signifies the lower self, which is man’s mortal enemy, and its stratagems. (Whichever wild animal was seen, the corresponding entry should be consulted.)

To see a wild and predatory animal such as a lion, tiger, or bear in a dream signifies that one is surrounded by enemies, and is an indication that one must beware of them and protect oneself. Whoever sees in his dream that he has mounted any wild animal and is directing it as he wishes, it is an indication that he shall be delivered from sin. If the animal does not obey, he shall fall into sin.

Whoever sees in a dream that one of the wild animals has entered his house shall befriend a person who does not conform to the Sacred Law. If the animal that entered has been hunted, it is interpreted as property and booty. Whoever sees that a hunted animal has been sent to him shall earn money without suffering hardship.

Whoever sees in a dream that he has slaughtered a wild animal shall engage in an illicit relation with a stranger.

Whoever sees in a dream that he possesses a wild animal shall befriend men of no good. Whoever sees that one of the wild animals has trampled him shall be betrayed. In a dream, the hide, fur, claw, flesh, bone, horn, and other parts of a wild animal are interpreted as property: if the animal’s flesh is lawful to eat, then as lawful property, and if it is an animal whose flesh is not lawful to eat, then as unlawful property.

To see in a dream that one has hunted a wild animal signifies that property and booty shall come into one’s hand; to see that one’s prey has escaped from one’s hand signifies that one shall obtain nothing; to see that one has given food or water to a wild animal signifies that one shall serve ignorant men; to see that one of the wild animals has become accustomed to him signifies good and benefit; and to see one of the domesticated animals become wild signifies evil.
