Work / Profession / Occupation

Ibn Sirin: To see in a dream that you have left your profession and occupied yourself with a work better than it signifies that the condition of your work and circumstances will improve further, and that you will see benefit from the work with which you are occupied.

To see in a dream that you are occupied with good works signifies good; to see that you are occupied with evil works signifies evil; and to see that some of the works you perform are good and some are evil indicates good or evil according to whichever is predominant.

To see in a dream that you have completed a work you were doing and attained the result you desired signifies that your condition will change.

“The likeness of the life of this world is as water which We send down from the sky, and the plants of the earth, of which people and cattle eat, mingle with it and flourish by means of it. Then, when the earth has put on its adornment and been beautified in varied colors, and its inhabitants think that they have power over it, Our command comes upon it by night or by day, and We make it as though it had been mown down, as if it had not flourished there the day before. Thus do We explain the signs to people who reflect well.” [129]

To see in a dream that your work has not come to an end indicates that the fear of death will seize your heart.

It provides early awareness; the person sees risks before they grow and can choose a more solid path.

Neglect, haste, untrustworthy people or uncontrolled behavior can increase the difficulty.

In the interpretation, the themes of work and responsibility, success and reputation, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
