Thread

To see thread in a dream gives information concerning an affair that is being undertaken or is to be undertaken. The dream is interpreted according to the condition of the thread.

The interpretation of seeing thread in a dream is evidence and testimony. Therefore, whoever sees that he twists a strand of thread, casts it around a person’s throat, and pulls that person with it, or pulls a rope with that strand of thread, will lead a commander and the people to a certain place.

Ibn Sirin: To see a spindle whorl in a dream denotes travel and removal from one place to another. The spindle whorl sometimes indicates working for one’s livelihood and striving to gather the goods of this world. To see a spindle whorl while spinning thread denotes the putting of affairs in order and sustenance.

Ibn Sirin: To hold thread in one’s hand in a dream indicates seeking evidence in order to present an excuse or prevail in one’s lawsuit. Twisting thread, or putting it around someone’s neck and dragging him, denotes a pimp arranging a client for a prostitute. Knots in the thread indicate magic or evil enchantments. White thread in a dream represents dawn, while black thread represents the night.

Ibn Sirin: To see thread in a dream, see: Ball of Thread, Spinning Thread. It indicates bringing affairs together, forming a bond, or a long life.

With the right perspective, it can signify restoring balance, recovery, and developing a new understanding.

Uncertainty, indecision, or a tendency to take on excessive burden may be observed.

In the interpretation, the themes of success and reputation, work and responsibility, health and body, spiritual signs, the emotional tone in the dream, and how the symbol concludes in the dream should be evaluated together.
