It is related that someone came to the revered Ibn Sirin and recounted the following incident: “O Imam, in my dream a snake bit me on the thumb of my hand, and my finger swelled and caused pain and anguish; then, when I took a medicine and placed it in my mouth, the pain ceased.”
It is related that Ibn Sirin said to that man: “You are one who keeps the company of sinful people; had you said that the medicine had no effect, I would have supposed that you had assumed the form of something. Yet I myself would not know what that thing was.”
Ibn Sirin: To see an antidote in a dream signifies deliverance from harm, healing, and security from the stratagem of the enemy.
